Morgan Sindall appoints Adrian Martin as a Non-Executive Director
Morgan Sindall plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces the appointment of Adrian Martin as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 December 2008.
Adrian's career includes 30 years of audit and corporate finance experience at BDO Stoy Hayward, where he was managing partner from 1992 until his departure in 2000. He was appointed as chief executive of solicitors Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP in 2002, stepping down in May 2008 whilst remaining as a consultant to the firm.
From 2000 to 2002, Adrian acted for a number of public and private companies as chairman, non-executive director and strategic adviser. He has significant experience as a non-executive director of listed companies, having served on the board of Carphone Warehouse Group plc from 2000 to July 2008 and the board of M&C Saatchi Plc since 2004. In September 2008 he was also appointed as a non-executive director of Safestore Holdings plc. Since 2001 he has been honorary treasurer of the Disasters Emergency Committee, a UK national charity.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and will join the board's audit committee.
