The Mothercare plc 2005 Save as Your Earn Share Option Scheme

Mothercare plc announces that the undermentioned persons discharging managerial
responsibilities are participating in the Mothercare plc 2005 Save as You Earn
Share Option Scheme under which options were awarded on 21 December 2005 under a
three year savings contract. The option price per share is 282pence.
