Mothercare plc announce that Mr Ian R. Peacock, chairman of the company
participated in the Dividend Re-Investment Plan in respect of the dividend paid
on 9 February 2007.


Mr Peacock's dividend was used to purchase 1,558 Mothercare Ordinary 50p shares
at a price of £3.70855p per share.


Following this purchase, Mr Peacock holds 178,383 ordinary shares, equivalent to
0.243% of the company's voting rights.
