Director / PDMR Share Dealing


Mothercare plc announces that Mr Ian R Peacock (Chairman of the Company) has
today purchased 19,250 Mothercare ordinary 50p shares at a price of 416.5pence
per share.


Ian Peacock's interest in Mothercare ordinary 50p shares following this
announcement comprises 197,633 ordinary shares equivalent to 0.27% of the issued
share capital.


The partner of Colin Bradley (a PDMR) has sold 4,000 ordinary shares on 29 May
2007 at a price of 416p per share. Colin Bradley has exercised and sold 10,000
executive share options (exercise price 300p per share) at a price of 414.75
pence per share. Following this announcement, Mr Bradley and his partner retain
10,262 Mothercare ordinary shares equivalent to 0.014% of the issued share
capital.


Mothercare plc's issued share capital is 73,343,348 ordinary shares.
