Mothercare plc: Director Change

Mothercare plc announces that Karren Brady, non-executive director has decided
to leave the board on 13 August 2010 after seven years service.

Ian Peacock, Chairman, said "we are sorry that Karren has decided to step down.
On behalf of the board I should like to thank Karren for her enthusiastic
support and work on the board since her appointment in July 2003. We wish her
well in her future business activities"
