Mothercare plc announces that it has been advised that A. Holding SA on behalf
of Bauger Group hf ( as the majority shareholder in A. Holding SA) no longer has
a notifiable interest in Mothercare plc shares.

The previous interest of A. Holding SA amounted to 2,500,000 shares equivalent
to 3.54% of the issued share capital of Mothercare plc.
