Mothercare plc announces that it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management
PLC that its fund management operating subsidiaries have decreased their
non-material holding in Mothercare plc.


The interest comprises 6,206,878 shares or 8.54% (previously 7,325,944 or 10.08%
on an issued share capital of 72,665,549) of Mothercare's issued share capital.


Mothercare plc's issued share capital is currently 72,710,930 ordinary shares.
