Notification of Major Interests In Shares

Mothercare plc announces that FMR LLC (the parent holding company for Fidelity
Management & Research Company and investment manager for certain funds etc) has
decreased its shareholding in Mothercare plc.

FMR LLC now hold 4,080,201 Mothercare ordinary shares, equivalent to 4.63% of
Mothercare's total voting rights, previously 4,604,445 ordinary shares or 5.23%.
