Mothercare plc announces that FIL Limited (the parent holding company for
various direct and indirect subsidiaries) has increased its shareholding in
Mothercare plc.

FIL Limited now holds 4,630,544 Mothercare ordinary shares, equivalent to 5.24%
of Mothercare's total voting rights.
