Mothercare PLC : Change in Shareholding


Mothercare plc announces that it was advised yesterday by Fidelity Investments
(on behalf of FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity
International Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries) of an
increase in their notifiable interest in the share capital of Mothercare plc.


The interest comprises 9,479,426 ordinary shares or 13.24% of Mothercare's
issued share capital (previously 8,656,253 or 12.09% on a share capital of
71,616,213).
