Mothercare plc announces that on 25(th) November 2011, Amanda Mackenzie, a non-
executive director of the company, purchased 19,760 Mothercare ordinary 50p
shares at a price of 151p per share.

Following this announcement Ms Mackenzie holds a total of 25,760 ordinary shares
equivalent to 0.029% of the total voting rights of the company.
