betinternet.com PLC 19 January 2001 BETINTERNET.COM PLC OPENS NEW REVENUE CHANNEL THROUGH AGREEMENT WITH IRISH GREYHOUND BOARD 19 January, 2001 - Douglas, Isle of Man betinternet.com Plc opens the opportunity for a new revenue channel by today announcing that Euro Off-Track, its 50-50 joint venture with the Greyhound Channel, Inc of the US, has signed an exclusive broadcast and wagering agreement with The Irish Greyhound Board. Through a live feed the US Greyhound public will be able to bet directly into the Irish Tote Pools. Also betinternet.com customers will be able to place bets directly into the Irish and American Totes and view the races live through a clipping service. The agreement allows Euro Off-Track the exclusive rights to receive and broadcast the live audio-visual feed of races from Shelbourne Park and Harolds Cross, directly into the United States and the other markets in which it operates. Euro Off-Track is also able to sub-license its broadcasting rights of Irish Greyhound races to third parties, such as internet and telephone betting service providers and traditional betting shops. This agreement, which is a world first in the Greyhound industry, exposes Irish Greyhound racing to a US viewing public of several millions and with an annual turnover of $2 Billion.
