                             Annual General Meeting


At today's AGM, Peter Byrom, Chairman of Molins said:

'Overall, the operating performance of the Group is broadly matching our
expectations.

'Order intake and performance at Sasib, though, continues to be disappointing.
Action has been taken to reduce costs, principally through short-time working,
and further reorganisation is expected.

'We expect the order intake in the rest of the Tobacco Machinery division and in
the Packaging Machinery division to be at similar levels in the first half of
this year to those of the same period last year, with profits weighted towards
the second half of the year.  The Scientific Services division is maintaining
its improved performance of last year.'
