APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

The Board of Molins PLC is pleased to announce the appointment, with effect from
1st August 2000, of Mr John Wilson as a non-executive director.

Mr Wilson, aged 57, has a long career in engineering and was from 1992 to 1998
Chief Executive of Vickers Aerospace and Marine Division.


APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Molins PLC announces that, further to its announcement of 27 July 2000 of the
appointment of Mr John Wilson as a director of the Company, there are no details
to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g) of the Listing Rules of the UK
Listing Authority in connection with Mr Wilson's appointment.
