MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC


Murray Income Trust PLC (the 'Company') announces that it has today purchased
3,560,000 ordinary shares in the market at a price of 552.4p (including
3,110,000 shares from ST Partners, L.P.) Following cancellation of these
shares the Company will have 72,713,935 ordinary shares in issue. As a result
of this share buyback, the Company has enhanced the net asset value per share
for ongoing shareholders by 2.58p.
