Transaction in Own Shares

MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On 21 February 2005 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 30,000 of
its own ordinary shares at 534.75p per share.

Following  the  transaction  the  Company's issued  ordinary  share  capital  is
68,382,658 ordinary shares of 25p each.
