Transaction in Own Shares

MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On  4 May 2005, Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 55,000 of its
own ordinary shares at 487.9091 pence per share.

Following  the  transaction  the  Company's issued  ordinary  share  capital  is
67,767,458 ordinary shares of 25p each.
