MURRAY INTERNATIONAL TRUST PLC ("the Company")

PURCHASE OF OWN ORDINARY SHARES

On 19 January 2016, the Company purchased in the market 11,500 Ordinary shares at an average price of 770.0 pence per share. These shares will be held in treasury.

Following the transaction, the Company's share capital comprises:

127,570,452 Issued Ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares)

910,364 B Ordinary shares in issue

31,500 Ordinary shares held in treasury

127,601,952 Issued Ordinary shares (including treasury shares)

The total number of shares with voting rights in the Company is 128,480,816 (Ordinary Shares and B Ordinary Shares) and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
