                   TRANSFER OF INDEPENDENT SHARES FROM TRUST

                                TO PETRA STALEY






Independent Resources plc ('Independent' or 'the Company') has been notified
that, on 3rd April 2008, Sanne Trust Company Limited transferred 5,625,000
ordinary shares in the Company to Petra Katherina Staley, the wife of Stephen
Staley, the Company's Managing Director.


Sanne Trust Company Limited is the trustee of the Traunsee Trust, of which
Stephen Staley, his wife and children are the beneficial class. Accordingly,
there is no change to the interest of Stephen Staley in the share capital of the
Company from this transfer.
