Notification of Director / PDMR Interests in Shares

The Company was today advised by the Trustee of the Northumbrian Water Group plc Share Incentive Plan (the "Plan") that on 3 May 2011 it purchased 423 Ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company ("Ordinary shares") at £3.55 per share on behalf of each of Chris Green (Director) and Ceri Jones (PDMR).

In addition, pursuant to the rules of the Plan, Mr Green and Mr Jones were each granted a further 141 Ordinary shares for nil consideration.

Following these purchases and grants, Mr Green has an interest in 206,370 Ordinary shares in the Company and Mr Jones has an interest in 52,409 Ordinary shares in the Company.
