                               Appointment of Director



The Board of NMT Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander
Muncie Gold CBE as a Non-executive Director.



Lex Gold, 64, is currently Chairman of the Scottish Premier League and a member
of the Board of the Scottish Football Association.  He was recent past Chairman
of the NHS Lanarkshire Board and has served as a Board member of NSS Scotland,
Caledonian MacBrayne Limited, Northlink Orkney and Shetland Ferries Limited and
Scetlander Limited.  In addition,  Mr Gold was formerly the Chief Executive of
CBI Scotland and the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, joint Managing Director of
Scottish Enterprise and received a CBE in 2000 for services to business in
Scotland.


There are no further details to be disclosed as per Rule 17 of the AIM Rules,
Schedule Two, paragraph (g).
