Purchase of own shares
The Company announces that, in accordance with the terms of its general authority to make market purchases of its own shares granted to it by shareholders of the Company on 24 November 2011, and following the announcement by the Company on 6 October 2011, the Company on 1 December 2011 acquired 100,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the Company (the "Ordinary Shares") and on 2 December acquired 170,000 Ordinary Shares (together the "Purchases"). The Purchases were made in the market for cash at a price of 17 pence per Ordinary Share. Following the Purchases, the Ordinary Shares will be held in treasury.
The Company advises that, following the Purchases, the Company's issued share capital is 121,319,002 Ordinary Shares (excluding 928,824 Ordinary Shares held as treasury shares). Therefore the Company's total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights is 121,319,002.
The above figure of 121,319,002 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
