Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Nichols plc ("Nichols" or the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of John Gittins to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. The appointment follows the decision of Eric Healey to step down from the Board in March, as announced at the time of the Group's preliminary results.

John Gittins is currently Finance Director of Fairpoint Group plc, an AIM listed provider of consumer financial and professional services and also serves on the Board of North West Electricity Networks plc. He is a Chartered Accountant and has been Finance Director of Begbies Traynor Group plc and subsequently NCC Group.

John Nichols, Non-Executive Chairman of Nichols commented: "We are extremely pleased to welcome John to the Board and look forward to the benefit of the extensive financial and corporate knowledge he has gained from over seventeen years of experience as a Group Finance Director in public markets.
