                                Board Change


After 22 years with Nichols PLC, the soft drinks group, Simon Nichols has
decided to step down from his role as a Director and Company Secretary, in order
to pursue other more varied business and personal interests.  Brendan Hynes,
Group Finance Director, has been appointed Company Secretary and will assume
Simon's other Board responsibilities.


Commenting John Nichols, Chairman, said:


'I would like to thank Simon for his contribution over the years, including his
time as Finance Director until three years ago and latterly as both a Director
and our Company Secretary.  On behalf of us all, we wish him every success as he
enters this new phase of his career'.
