                     Disposal of Surplus Freehold Property

Nichols plc, the soft drinks group, announces the disposal of its surplus
freehold property at Golborne near Wigan, Lancashire to Development Securities
(No 32) Limited, a London based property development company, for £6.125 million
in cash.  This will give rise to a small exceptional profit on disposal in the
current financial year to 31 December 2006.

The net proceeds of the disposal moves Nichols into a positive cash position and
will provide funds to enable the Group to pursue further opportunities in the
soft drinks sector.
