On 21st March 2001 Nichols Plc will be announcing the company's preliminary
results for the year ended 31 December 2000.

The group has three principal divisions:


*        Soft Drinks (primarily involved in the manufacture and sale of Vimto
         throughout the world)

*        Food Service (including Nichols Foods, the manufacturer and supplier
         to the vending, foodservice and retail markets and Stockpack the       
         group's contract packing operation)

*        Beverage Systems (which includes Balmoral's hot beverage systems and
         Cabana, soft drinks on draught)
