exceeding market growth
Growth in Nokia's mobile phone sales continued to exceed
market growth in 2000 as a whole and in the fourth quarter.
Overall, Nokia sold more than 128 million mobile phones in
the year 2000, representing 64% growth from the year before.
In 1999, Nokia sold 78.5 million units worldwide.
According to Nokia's preliminary estimates, global mobile

year. Market volume for 1999 was estimated at approximately
280 million units.
Nokia's preliminary market estimates indicate that the global

users by the end of the year 2000, representing global
penetration of approximately 12%.
Nokia intends to release its fourth quarter and full-year
