Nokia repurchases a maximum of
36 million Nokia shares from the market
The Board of Directors of Nokia Corporation has resolved to
repurchase a maximum of 36,000,000 Nokia shares from the market at
market price. The shares will be repurchased on the basis of the
authorization given by the Annual General Meeting to the Board on
March 22, 2000. The shares will be used to further develop the
capital structure of the Company, to finance business acquisitions
or other arrangements, to be disposed in other ways, or to be
cancelled. The repurchases will commence on August 4, 2000 at the
earliest.
