EGM RESULT


Northern Venture Trust PLC (the 'Company') announces that at an Extraordinary
General Meeting held earlier today all resolutions were passed.  As a result the
Company's life has been extended at least until the annual general meeting to be
held in 2010, the Company's directors have been authorised to implement a tender
offer to acquire up to 10% of the Company's issued share capital and to issue up
to a further 8 million new ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company by way of
future share offerings to shareholders and the public.
