PORTFOLIO UPDATE

Further to the announcement made on 17 December 2013, Northern Venture Trust PLC ("Northern Venture Trust") confirms that the sale of its investment in Denara Holdings Limited ("Denara") to Nasstar plc ("Nasstar") was duly completed on 10 January 2014.

Northern Venture Trust has received total consideration of £1.28 million for its holding of ordinary shares in Denara, comprising £0.96 million in cash and 6,445,113 new ordinary shares of 1p in Nasstar with a value (at the deemed issue price of 5p per share) of £0.32 million.
