Board Changes

Appointment of Non-executive Director and Change in Non-executive Chairman

The Board of Numis Corporation Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of   Robert Sutton (aged 60) as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect.  Robert will Chair the Remuneration Committee and will also join both the Audit & Risk Committee and Nominations Committee.

Robert was a solicitor with the City Law firm Macfarlanes from 1979 to 2013, serving as senior partner from 1999 to 2008.  Robert's expertise is in company and commercial law, particularly in the areas of corporate finance, securities law and practice, takeover bids and mergers and acquisitions. 

Further to our announcement dated 14 March 2014, the Board also confirms the appointment of Gerald Corbett as Non-executive Chairman of the Board following the retirement of Sir David Arculus, both with immediate effect.    

Commenting on the changes in composition of the Board, Oliver Hemsley, Chief Executive, said:
