Changes to the Board of Numis



The Board of Numis Corporation Plc announces the appointment of William (Bill)
Trent (aged 47) as Finance Director and Group Company Secretary with immediate
effect. He succeeds Duncan Sweetland who is leaving to pursue other interests
after nearly ten years with the Group.



Oliver Hemsley, Chief Executive, said:

with his extensive experience in working with leading investment banks he will

Bill Trent has recently been working as an independent strategic adviser.  His
experience includes growing professional services businesses and risk
management. Bill spent fourteen years with McKinsey, where he was co-leader of
their Global Wholesale Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance & Strategy
Practices.  Bill Trent is a chartered accountant having spent eight years with
Price Waterhouse.



Bill Trent is a Director of Energis plc, a company that was subject to a court
order and placed into administration in July 2002.  At the request of the
Administrators (Ernst & Young) Bill Trent remains as a Director of Engeris plc.
Bill Trent is also a Director of WEJ Limited.
