                    Numis Corporation Plc Board Appointment


The Board of Numis Corporation Plc announces the appointment of Tom Bartlam
(aged 57) as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Tom co-founded Intermediate Capital Group in 1989 and was its managing director
until his retirement in April 2005. He started his career with Price Waterhouse
in 1969 and then moved to Charterhouse Bank in 1974, where he was a director in
their corporate finance and private equity businesses.

Oliver Hemsley, Chief Executive of Numis, said:

his extensive experience of the financial services industry, in particular
during his time as managing director of Intermediate Capital Group, he will make
a major contribution to the growth of Numis in the future.
