Interest in Shares


The Board of Numis received yesterday notification from Credit Suisse Securities
(Europe) Limited that, pursuant to the Companies Act 2006, it is deemed
interested in 3,253,942 (3.06%) ordinary shares of the issued share capital of
Numis. Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited is part of the Investment
Banking Division of Credit Suisse, which is part of the Credit Suisse Group.


The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 106,252,148 with each ordinary share carrying
the right to vote. There are no shares held in treasury.
