Trading Update

Thursday 1^st October 2015 at 7.00am: Numis Corporation Plc ("Numis") today issued a trading update relating to the year ended 30^th September 2015.

Revenues from our core activities have grown by 5% over the previous 12 months with our second half performing materially better than the first 6 months.     

Client activity was relatively strong throughout the second half enabling Numis to complete a further 15 equity raises, including 5 IPOs. This brings the total number of equity deals for the year to 38, including 11 IPOs and for the third year in succession, funds raised exceeded £2billion.     

In addition, corporate activity within our client base resulted in a significant increase in advisory fees. Consequently, combined revenues from equity issuance and advisory activities are at the highest level in the firm's history.  Despite increased M&A activity amongst our clients, the number of corporate clients for whom we act continues to grow with net additions of 12 during the year bring the total to 183.

We have made further investments in our people and infrastructure during the year whilst also investing in opportunities which are complementary to our existing core business. We believe these actions will position the firm for future growth.      

Numis will announce full preliminary results for the year ended 30^th September 2015 on Wednesday 2^nd December 2015.

Commenting on the Trading Update, Oliver Hemsley, Chief Executive, said:

Our corporate business continues to strengthen with additions to our client base and hires into our corporate broking and advisory team.

We will continue to support UK companies seeking capital to grow, whilst simultaneously building long-term relationships with companies and investors."
