Numis Corporation Plc ('Numis')

The Board of Numis announces that, on 15 July 2004, the Numis Employee Share
Trust ('the Trust') purchased 26,000 (0.13%) Numis shares at price of 513p per
share. Following this purchase the Trust holds 979,044 (5.04%) Numis shares.

The Numis shares referred to are Numis' ordinary shares of 25p per share and the
number of shares in issue is 19,418,253.
