CHAIRMAN'S AGM STATEMENT
At the Annual General Meeting of NWF Group plc ('NWF'), the diversified sales
and distribution business, to be held in Cheshire at 10.30 am today, the
Chairman, Roy Willis, will comment:
'As I said in my Chairman's statement, which accompanied our annual results, the
first quarter of the current year is our quietest. This period normally
represents some 10% of the full year and I am pleased to say that trading has
been in line with our expectations.
As previously reported, we have leased a large warehouse in Winsford to increase
our warehousing capacity. The site is already 75 per cent utilised for products
destined for Tesco and we expect it to be 100 per cent full within a month. We
still await a final decision on planning permission for warehousing at our
Wardle site.
Overall I remain confident that we shall achieve a satisfactory outcome for the
year as a whole.'
