                 NWF GROUP ANNOUNCES FINANCE DIRECTOR SUCCESSOR

As previously announced, Alan Fulker will retire as Group Finance Director of
NWF Group plc, the diversified sales and distribution business, at the end of
August 2004. He has been Group Finance Director since 1989 and has been with the
Group since 1988.

His successor is Paul Grundy, 47, who will join the Group in mid May and become
Group Finance Director on 1 September 2004. Paul is currently Group Financial
Controller with N Brown Group plc, the FTSE250 home shopping retailer and has
been with them since 1993, including a period as Company Secretary. Prior to
that, he had been Financial Director of Hilti (GB) Ltd and had senior positions
with Shervale Ltd (Spendwise) and Sharp Electronics UK Ltd. He is an FCA and
trained with Arthur Andersen.

Graham Scott commented: 'I am delighted to announce the appointment of Paul
Grundy as successor to our current Finance Director, Alan Fulker. On behalf of
the Board, shareholders and employees, I would like to thank Alan for the
enormous contribution he has made to the growth of the Group over a period of
many years. Paul has extensive plc experience and will have the opportunity to
shadow Alan for a few months facilitating a smooth handover of
responsibilities.'

Paul Grundy added: 'I look forward very much to taking over from Alan Fulker and
contributing to the further growth and success of NWF.'
