Orad Hi-Tec Systems Limited
('Orad' or the 'Company')
Televisa, Mexico's largest broadcaster, selects Orad's CyberSport as its graphic
enhancement system for the World Cup.
Kfar Saba, Israel - 18th January, 2006
Orad Hi-Tec Systems (Symbol: OHT) announced today that Televisa, Mexico's
largest broadcaster, has ordered its second CyberSport system.
As part of its preparations for covering the World Cup, Televisa has selected
CyberSport system to provide features for its football coverage such as
superimposing graphics in real time to enhance the broadcast feed and increase
viewing experience and rating. CyberSport will enable Televisa to insert the
overlaid graphics from the studio, avoiding the need for machines at the venue.
Following a thorough evaluation and testing period the CyberSport system is now
fully deployed within the Televisa premises. Televisa and Orad will continue
working together to develop additional features based on CyberSport.
Commenting on the deal Avi Sharir, President and CEO of Orad: 'After a
concentrated R&D effort we have tailored CyberSport to fit to the unique
production flow of the World Cup and I'm extremely pleased that Televisa
appreciated the added value which CyberSport offers. CyberSport's ability to
work from the studio and overlay the graphics on the downstream signal coupled
with other unique capabilities such as an embedded 4 zone chroma keyer,
extremely fast and accurate calibration and an intuitive and simple user
interface, are some of the reasons which led Televisa to choose CyberSport.
'Televisa joins the French, Italian, Brazilian, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish,
English, Belgium, Polish, Turkish and many more leagues which are implementing
Orad's sports solution for their football coverage'. Sharir summarized.
