Notification of Preliminary Results Thursday 27 February 2008

Old Mutual plc will release its preliminary results for the year ended 31
December 2007 at 7.00 a.m. UK time (8.00 a.m. Swedish time, 9.00 a.m. South
African time) on Thursday 27 February 2008.  Following this there will be a
presentation to analysts on the results at 9.00 a.m. UK time (10.00a.m. Swedish
time, 11.00 a.m. South African time).

Jim Sutcliffe, Chief Executive, will host the presentation at the Company's
London offices, the address of which is Old Mutual Place, 2 Lambeth Hill, London
EC4V 4GG.

A live webcast of the presentation together with copies of the presentation
slides will be available on the Company's website at www.oldmutual.com.  There
will also be an audio dial-in facility accessible on 0500 5510 77 (UK), on 0200
8876 51 (Sweden) and on 0800 9914 68 (South Africa). A recording of the event
