Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') announces that it has received notice today from
Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited informing it that the notice given by
Credit Suisse on 24 January that it had a notifiable interest, for the purposes
of Part VI of the UK Companies Act 1985, at 20 January 2006 of approximately
3.04% of the total issued ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company was made in
error and that Credit Suisse companies had less than 3% of the Company's shares
at that date.
