Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') received on 13 October 2006 a notice dated 13
October 2006 informing the Company that Lehman Brothers International (Europe)
had at that date a notifiable interest, for the purposes of Part VI of the UK
Companies Act 1985, in 4.82% of the Company's ordinary share capital,
represented by an aggregate holding of 264,774,648 shares.
