Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') announces that, by a notification dated 30
October 2006 received yesterday, it has been informed that FMR Corp. and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries have ceased to have a notifiable interest, for
the purposes of Part VI of the UK Companies Act 1985, in the Company's ordinary
share capital.
