On-line Plc appoints Rod Cobain as MD of On-line Sports

The Board of On-line Plc announces that Rod Cobain has been appointed as
Managing Director of On line Sports Games Limited commencing on 2 May 2000. 
Rod will be responsible for all On-line games publishing previously looked
after by Andrew Hewson who is resigning as a board director and will be
leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Rod was operations Director at Digital Integration (the flight simulation
specialist) and has worked in the Computer Games business for 20 years, he is
very well known throughout the industry.

Michael Hodges, Chairman of On-line, commented: 'This is an important step for
our games division as it readies itself for the launch of Giant Killer Euro
Manager 2000.  Rod has a wealth of experience in the games industry and is an
experienced team builder.  I feel sure he will be able to take our games
business to the next level.'
