18/08/2010 GB00B23JN426/GBP/PLUS-exn Oracle Coalfields PLC ("Oracle" or the "Company") Oracle Coalfields Comment on Pakistan Flood The board of Oracle would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the very many families of those who have suffered from the devastation of the flooding in Pakistan, and wish for a swift and timely recovery from this disaster to all those affected. To our shareholders we would like to reassure them that the flooding has not interrupted our ongoing work programme and operations. More specifically in the Sindh Province, the flooding is more severe near to the Indus River. Our project site, Block VI in Tharparkar District, is more than 250 km east of the Indus River. We continue to be in regular contact with our partners, local contractors and relevant government agencies and our work programme is progressing. The construction of Base Camp at site is already underway. It is to be noted that Tharparkar District is 150 ft to 200 ft above sea level.
