           Ormonde announces appointment of new Executive Director.




Ormonde Mining plc ('Ormonde') is pleased to announce that Dr. Kerr Anderson
has joined the Company as Executive Director with immediate effect. Dr.
Anderson will be responsible for developing new projects identified by the
Company and brings to Ormonde considerable experience of the European mining
and exploration business.


Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Glasgow University and completed his PhD at the
University of Strathclyde on the Navan zinc-lead deposit in Co. Meath. Dr.
Anderson then joined Navan Resources plc in October 1988. He was appointed
Exploration Manager in 1999 and held this position until 30th April 2001 when
he resigned to join Ormonde Mining plc. During his employment with Navan
Resources (latterly Navan Mining plc) he worked in Ireland, Scotland, Spain,
Bulgaria and Hungary.


Dr. Anderson's experience and contacts in the mining industry will be of
tremendous value to Ormonde as it develops its portfolio of interests over the
coming months.
