Change in the State of Finland's holding in Out...
STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

Outokumpu Oyj has been informed on the change in the holding of the
State of Finland. On December 11, 2008, the State of Finland has
transferred its holding in Outokumpu Oyj to its wholly-owned company
Solidium Oy (Business ID 0866693-1). In accordance with the exemption
granted in October from the Finnish Financial Supervision Authority,
Solidium does not have an obligation to launch a tender offer.
With reference to Section 2, paragraph 9 of the Finnish Market
Securities Act and the relevant decision of the Finnish Ministry of
Finance, Outokumpu Oyj reports that Solidium Oy holds 56 440 597
shares in Outokumpu Oyj corresponding to 31.10% of the Company's
share capital and voting rights.
The share capital of Outokumpu Oyj consists of 181 451 883 shares.
Each share has one vote.
