Board Reorganisation
OMG, the leading supplier of motion capture and visual geometry systems for life
sciences, entertainment and engineering applications, announces a reorganisation
of Board responsibilities and the appointment of a new director.
With effect from today, Brian Michael Nilles, aged 41, is appointed Director of
US Operations, with responsibility for Vicon Motion Systems Inc and House of
Moves Inc in California. Mr Nilles has 16 years of technical and commercial
management experience in leading edge hardware and software products. He joined
Vicon Motion Systems Inc in 1997, initially as Vice President, Sales and
Marketing, Animation Products, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in
August 1999. In his time with the Company, he has contributed significantly to
the success of the US operations and the overall strategic direction of the
Company.
Mr Nilles currently holds 266,667 ordinary shares in OMG which represents 0.49%
of the issued share capital of the Company.
Mr Nilles has no current or past directorships and partnerships.
There are no other disclosures to be made in accordance with Rule 15 of the AIM
Rules.
Chris Steele, formerly Director of Business Development, becomes Director of UK
Operations, responsible for Vicon Motion Systems Ltd and 2d3 Ltd in Oxford.
Julian Morris remains Group Chief Executive but will spend a greater proportion
of his time on developing opportunities for diversification.
Peter Wharton and Cathy Robertson remain Finance Director and Company Secretary,
respectively.
Anthony Simonds-Gooding remains non-executive Chairman.
Julian Morris commented, 'The past 12 months have seen the completion of
substantial developments in our business and the launch of new products. This
reorganisation of the Board will allow the Company to build on these
achievements while allowing me to devote more time to further opportunities for
developing the Company's value.'
