Intellikraft Ltd
Oxford Technology 2 VCT has been informed by Intellikraft Ltd, one of its
investee companies, that it has experienced problems with its management team
and with its production process. Oxford Technology 2 VCT initially invested
£250,000 in the company in June 2000. It invested a further £250,000 in May
2001, at a share price of 21p.
In light of this information, the investment in Intellikraft Ltd has been
written down by 75%, from 21p a share to 5.25p a share, reducing the total value
of the fund's holding in Intellikraft Ltd from £3.6m (as at 31 August 2002) to
£0.9m.
At 31 August 2002, the net assets per share of OT2VCT were £1.40, of which the
investment in Intellikraft accounted for 60p. The revaluation of Intellikraft
Ltd will have the effect of lowering the Net Asset Value per share of Oxford
Technology 2 VCT by 45p. In the normal course of events, OT2VCT values its
portfolio on 28 February and 31 August each year. The next valuation of the
portfolio will be therefore be done to 28 February 2003. However, in view of its
relative importance in the portfolio, it was thought right to make an immediate
announcement about the revaluation of the holding in Intellikraft Ltd.
