We are writing to notify you pursuant to the Disclosure of Interests in Shares
(Amendment) Regulations 1993 (SI 1993 No. 1819) of our interest in investment
holdings in the ordinary share capital of Michael Page International plc.
Following a sale of 752,600 shares on October 21, 2003, accounts managed by
Harris Associates L.P. became the beneficial owners of 47,085,000 shares of
Michael Page. This represents 12.95% of the company and a decrease below the 13%
substantial shareholder threshold.  This is a 1.04% decrease since our last
